About APSxchange.org
APSxchange.org was conceived to improve the financial health of hospitals in Kansas and Missouri by bringing simplified access, price transparency, and improved protection to the exchange of clinical assets. By promoting a frictionless transfer of equipment between purchasers and sellers, we expect to see equipment put to its highest and best use during each phase of the product's life cycle.
Our goals for APSxChange.org:
Our first wish is that hospital equipment is rapidly put to productive
use each time it is removed from service, and that no equipment end its
life in a landfill.
We hope to promote an eager market among primary and secondary care hospitals
and clinics for previous-generation clinical equipment made available by
peers and by qualified brokers.
We understand there are scores of charitable
organizations serving disadvantaged populations in the United States and
throughout the world who have limited means to identify and secure useful
clinical and administrative equipment. We will offer an avenue for charitable
organizations to locate purposeful equipment.
At the end of useful life
for most equipment, there is likely to be a salvage dealer who can extract
valuable components for re-use in a new form. We hope to bring reputable
dealers and hospitals together to close the recycling loop.
